Every year, we search for the best exhibits to bring to the Welcome Home Veterans Celebration. This year, we decided that we did such a good job last year that we are going to do the same thing this year. We are very excited to have the 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit, the American Veteran Traveling Tribute Wall, the Field of Honor-Veterans Tribute and the Traveling Korean War Memorial back with us again this year.
The American Veteran Traveling Tribute Wall is the anchor of our event. The Welcome Home Veterans Celebration was originally created to honor Vietnam Veterans. We are happy to include this important memorial every year and are very thankful for our wonderful sponsor, Fortera Credit Union, who helps make this possible every year.
From September 15 - 19. 1950, the Battle of Inchon took place in Incheon, South Korea. This year, in honor of the 70th anniversary of this important battle, we will again be presenting the Traveling Korean War Memorial. This memorial features 19 soldiers marching through a Korean rice paddy. Please watch the schedule for additional events honoring our Korean War veterans.
The 9/11 Never Forget Mobile exhibit is an 1100 square foot museum that chronicles the events of 9/11 in New York City. Told by first responders who have a first hand account of these events, this is a power memorial and drives home the point that we must "never forget".
